OUR CLASSROOM RULES, REWARDS AND CONSEQUENCES
My behavior management focuses on rewarding good behavior as much as possible. In addition to rewards and positive reinforcement, there are also consequences for poor choices. It is important we always follow our classroom rules and procedures to maximize success and safety for everyone in the classroom!
CLASSROOM RULES:
1. Be respectful of yourself, classmates, teachers, staff, and school property at all times.
2. Come to class on time and prepared with all required classroom materials.
3. Pay attention during instructions and follow all directions.
4. Have a positive attitude and always do your best!
LIST OF REWARDS FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR:
Verbal praise
Trip to treasure box
Positive note sent home
Free time
Learning in a safe and fun environment!
LIST OF CONSEQUENCES for Breaking Rules*:
Verbal warning
Timeout
Seating change
Detention
Parent/Guardian contact/conference
Sent to Vice Principal
Note: Recurring disruptive behavior will require a meeting between teacher, parent/guardian and student to find a workable solution.
*Severe violations will result in removal from classroom with parent/guardian notification and Vice Principal referral.
When you make A mistake:
Be honest and tell the truth
Apologize
Reflect on your mistakes
Classroom Rules, Rewards and Consequences will be given to all students and a copy will be sent to parents/guardians and administration at the beginning of the school year.
